A heating system is more than the boiler. Undersized radiators, sludge, a failing pump or old controls can make even a brand-new boiler struggle. We look at the whole system, find what’s holding it back, and fix that.
Heating work we do
New and replacement radiators
Panel, column and vertical radiators sized to the room, swapped like for like or moved to suit a new layout.
Heated towel rails
Chrome, black and anthracite towel rails on the heating, electric or dual-fuel, like the ones in our bathroom photos.
Cold radiators
Cold at the top means air; cold at the bottom means sludge; cold all over can be a stuck valve or poor balancing.
Powerflushing
Clears sludge and scale from the system, ideally followed by a magnetic filter and fresh inhibitor.
Pumps and valves
Circulating pumps, zone valves and thermostatic radiator valves repaired or replaced.
Smart controls
Smart thermostats and room-by-room control so you only heat the rooms you use.
Extending your heating
Building an extension or converting a loft? We run new flow and return pipework, add radiators or underfloor heating, and check the boiler has the output to cope.
How it works
- Look at the systemBoiler, pump, pipework, radiators and controls.
- Find the causeAir, sludge, balancing or a failed part.
- Fix and balanceRepair, flush or replace, then balance every radiator.
- Protect itFilter and inhibitor added so it stays clean.

Questions about central heating and radiators
Why are my radiators cold at the bottom?
Usually sludge, which settles at the bottom of the radiator. A chemical clean or powerflush and a magnetic filter fixes it.
Can you change a radiator without draining the system?
Sometimes. On some systems we can isolate the radiator and swap it with minimal draining. On others a partial drain-down is quicker and safer.
Is a powerflush worth it?
If the system has heavy sludge, yes. It improves heat output and protects the boiler. If the water runs fairly clean, a chemical clean is often enough.
